Poetry Reading to Escape Reality

 Reading is a joy,

That leaves a peasant after taste.

Something like a dessert,

After a content meal that is laced,

With love and secret ingredients that linger.

Like a friend you never had,

Whenever you feel like a nomad.

Melting the bitterness inside,

Spreading the warmth outside.

You are lost in an imaginary world,

Escaping the reality and its depressing hold.

If you enjoy reading poetry, you are one of the few people who can be inspired by as few lines as possible, pull yourself together from a dark place, and move forward. Congratulations on being such a person. I fervently hope that the above lines bring you a sense of well-being, both inside and out. Sending you all warm wishes that wrap you in a cozy and tender warmth, making you forget all your woes and weariness.
